Geting a Dental Implant
Dental implants allow people requiring teeth replacement to obtain natural looking teeth, that won't slip and won't alter the contour of the jaw or mouth. The implants are tiny titanium anchors that are inserted into the jawbone. Over 6 months the jaw incorporates the posts into the natural jaw structure, creating a solid foundation to which permanent non-slip artificial teeth can be attached.
The process of obtaining artifical teeth, which are attached to dental implants, occurs in two phases. In the first stage tiny titanium screws are inserted into the jaw bone by a dental surgeon. 6 months later, after the small implants have been incorporated into the bone structure, a dental surgeon uncovers their heads, which were hitherto hidden under the surface of the gum. He then attaches posts that protrude through the gum.
Once the posts are in place, your dentist will fit and place artifical teeth, which will rest firmly upon the posts. The artificial teeth will not slip and after they are placed they will totally hide the posts that protrude from the gums.
People receiving dental implants report minimal interference with their lives during the 6-8 months it takes to complete the entire procedure. Once finished, recipients can smile without fear, as the dental implants do away with the embarassment that so many denture wearers experienced when their dentures fell or slipped out, while they were in public.

Geting a Dental Implant
Dental implants are a good way to replace missing teeth and also offer a long lasting solution to removable partial or complete dentures. Dental implants offer excellent support and stability for thesedental appliances.
Dental implants are artificial roots and artifical teeth (mostly titanium) that are surgically fixes into the upper or lower jaw bone by a dentist, or an oral surgeon, or a Periodontist - a specialist of the gums and adjacent bone. The teeththat are attached to implants are very natural looking and often add to or repair a patient's smile!
Dental implants are very strong, tough, and durable and will endure fora number of years, but from time to time, they will need to be re-tightened or replaced as a resust of normal wear.
Benefits of dental implants:
Allows you to replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth.
Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
Dental Implants are only one of many forms of cosmetic dentistry. Cosmetic dental centers also offer mini-implants. Mini-implants are tiny screws that fit through the bottom of dentures and fix them securly to the jaw bone. They stop the dentures from wobbling and keep them looking like natural teeth.
Broken teeth can regain their natural beauty with porcelain crowns, porcelain caps and porcelain veneers. And, the newest addition to the cosmetic dentistry armementum is the snap on smile. The custom fitted piece slips over the client's remaining teeth and immediately imparts a lustrous toothy smile.
